About us

WELCOME TO UPPSALA!

Studentboet is a housing portal for student housing in Uppsala. The project was initiated by the Uppsala Student Union in 2010 and is funded by the Municipality of Uppsala, Uppsala University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The project aims to facilitate the housing situation of Uppsala's students by providing them with information about the housing market and provide advice and tips on housing search, collect and scrutinize the secondary market ads on the website and to offer legal counseling to students with needs.

The housing situation in Uppsala has been very difficult for a long time. There is no common place for all the different housing companies that provide students with accommodation, to be gathered. Students have to contact every single housing company to find housing, which can be really stressful and hard.

On our website there is lots of information about everything you as a student might want to know as an applicant or resident in Uppsala. Everything, from what a lease looks like and information on housing allowance to the tips of temporary accommodation such as hostels, for those who need a temporary accommodation in Uppsala to search for a more permanent residence.

For you who want to rent out housing, you are able to advertise for free on the portal. More information can be found under Rent a home.
